Paris Hilton is Really Rich

Exactly How Rich
is Paris Hilton?

How about $28 Million

Paris Hilton is best know for always being in the New York and Hollywood lime light. She is also a  recognized by some as  "model". However, the most important thing we would like to point out is all these things are possible because Paris Hilton is  really rich.

The Hilton family fortune is today estimated at around $600 million. Hotel heiress Paris Hilton could inherit $28 million of the fortune, but she may not need a dime of her grandfather’s money.

The wild success of her show "The Simple Life" is turning Hilton into a breadwinner herself. The long-limbed high society girl is reportedly working on a $3 million deal to do a "Simple Life" spin-off.

The Japanese are crazy for Hilton. Advertisers there could pay her $1 million per endorsement. Add in movie roles and a possible mini-skirt line, and experts predict the media's newest "It" girl could rake in $10 million over the next year.

Even with her new-found fortune, Us Weekly's Marc Malkin says the playgirl still won't need to carry much cash. Malkin says, "She's the type of person who everyone gives free things to. If she walks into a nightclub, she gets drinks for free. If she walks into a store, they want her to wear their stuff so they give it to her for free.

Growing up in Manhattan's ritzy Waldorf-Astoria, the family's New York home, as well as other Hilton digs in Beverly Hillss and the Hamptons, Paris didn't seem to yearn for much. Even after graduating from high school, college didn't appeal to her. So, around the year 2000, Paris decided to branch out and become famous.

She began to make a name for herself as a model, soon appearing in shows for designers such as Marc Bouwer and Catherine Malandrino, and she later completed an ad campaign for Iceberg, an Italian label. In addition, Paris has posed for spreads in national magazines such as GQ, Vanity Fairr and FHM, and has also been profiled, along with her sister, in People magazine.

Paris, along with her younger sister Nicky, also became notorious as socialites, gracing party after party and getting bad press for their antics. For example, Paris has grabbed headlines by shoving ahead of others in a washroom line, then, when upbraided for her rudeness, quipped that she only wanted to look at herself in the mirror. She has also danced on top of bar banquettes, gone topless for attention, and paraded around in designer T-shirts with slogans like, "Got Blow?" Yet Paris maintains that the bad press "sucks" and that "people are mean."
